Got this for butchering whitetail deer, cut thru ribs like butter. Nice clean cut. Not a lot of chips as you get with more aggressive toothNice saw for flush cutting. The blade is sharp and easily bends as needed. There's a button on the handle to release/replace the blade. When you reinstall the blade, sometimes it takes a little wiggling to get it to lock in place but you can feel it and probably hear it when you do.This is a good example of a Japanese-style pull saw. The handle has a nice grippy cover on it which helps. The blade attachment is almost entirely plastic, which raises some long-term durability concerns but at this price point its perfectly adequate. The blade is nice and sharp, and the different tooth pitches give you a lot of cutting choices. I like that the blade detaches which will make storing this much easier. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it.Bigger then I expected but good quality. I got the bigger one but maybe should have gotten small. The two sides have different size saw blades which seem good for small wood cuts. They also have protective covers on them for storage/moving around which is nice and safe.I have found great interest with these kinds of saws lately and they work excellent and this one was no exception it has a nice size blade and the blade to handle attachment is solid. The handle is comfortable in my hand and I will be using this more on my wood working projects in the future. Overall, everything is of good quality and the handle and blade are very sturdy so I have no concern about cheap materials and the blade cut well when I used it. 5 Stars, I hope this helps someone.I've been wanting a Japanese pull saw for many years and am glad I pulled the trigger and got this saw. The handle is very solid and non slip. If you have a firm grip, you'll have no problems manipulating the saw.The saw blade is very durable and will hold up for decades if you take care. The two saw blades are different teeth counts, so you can use this with soft and hard woods. One side works better with soft, and the other side will work great with hardwoods. If you're not familiar, experiment on scrap pieces and you'll get the hang of it.If you're not familiar, pull saws like this are really handy for trimming dowels, such as when hiding a screwhead underneath a dowel, as well as tough to reach places like trim around a door where it meets the flooring. Before the flooring goes in, you can trial place a piece next to the trim, and then use it as a guide to trim the moulding. Very very handy tool to have for those specific situations. The main advantage is to get into a right spot with an offset handle, and a flexible saw blade. This is a competent pull saw.It bends, which is nice if you're cutting dowels or tenons. It does bend a slightly less than other pull saws that I've used, but it is enough--as long as you are not going in at a complete right angle or something.I actually like that it's a bit stiffer--it gives the saw additional functionality...as more of a utility saw. I recently used it to cut some plastic raceway that I was using to hide TV/Stereo wires. This saw worked perfectly for that. In fact, it seemed to work faster through tougher, thicker cuts. I was very impressed! One unique thing about this particular saw is that the blade is replaceable--removable and replaceable. It would be nice if you got an extra replacement blade with this one. But to be fair, you'd have to use it quite a bit to get to that point. Perhaps at this price, under $15, it might be best just to buy a new one if you ever were able to get the blade to where it needed to be either sharpened or replaced. But it's something to think about. It's also nice to be able to take the blade off if you're storing it.The handle is one of the more comfortable grips that I've tried. While I generally prefer wood with a pull saw handle, I have to say this one is comfortable to hold.Obviously it's sharp out of the box, and cuts very well.Highly recommended!!!this saw is good for wood working. overall good quality.
