This is the same as another manufactures older miter gauge. It is easy to square up and once this is down it will allow perfect cuts. Made a picture frame and no gaps at all. The other manufacturers newer gauge is $12.00 more and has a few more bells, but this is good competition to it. I own both and this thing is rock solid.
