I am a new homeowner doing a lot of repairs and renovations without a big budget. I thought I would need to purchase a miter saw for much of the work but it turns out this pullsaw is just what I need. It’s super intuitive and feels good in the hand. There are plenty of youtube videos online that are also helpful.I will eventually invest in a nice miter saw which will cost a few hundred dollars. But for now, this pullsaw is perfect! And for less than $50!First, this saw is a great cutter and the rip profiled teeth do make a difference insawing dovetails vs a cross cut version.I deducted two stars though for damage in transit, which I elected to repair without contacting the seller.Pic shows how mine arrived. The only way yours will arrive straight is if the shipper starts to tape them to a piece of wood before boxing.It's no problem for the blade to take a bend if not kinked as it's a spring. But the spine is seemingly as ductile as lead and bends if given a stern look.I'm glad to have this rip cut saw, but others would have returned it.Week and brittle steel. Skip it.This is the second Japanese saw I own. The back saw has a very narrow kerf, and easy to control with the pull stroke.I saw the video on Youtube where this saw company worked with a woodworker to design a new dovetail saw that was easier to use.What a lovely saw! I really love it. Takes a little getting used to after many years of western saw use but the cut and finish is excellent! Suizan customer service is second to none! Even on boxing Day! Will be looking to buy more of their products without hesitation! I already have 3 and each as good as the other. No regrets at all ?
