Pros:1. Good build quality, smooth bearings, good power - variable speed allows great flexibility.2. Tool-less chuck allows for quick and easy blade changes.3. Kit includes nice case to keep everything organized - other brands have a soft case or no case at all.4. Lightest of the 12A reciprocating saws - combines power and maneuverability.Cons:1. As noted by others, case aggressively bends the cord strain relief - why hasn't Makita fixed this?2. Made in China. Based on experience, Porter-Cable and Milwaukee are more durable.I don't use a reciprocating saw frequently enough to justify cordless and don't see the value of the orbital action of the more expensive Makita JR3070T. As noted, this saw combines power, maneuverability and very good, but not class leading, durability. If you're an infrequent user, the level-down Makita JR3050T has an 11 amp motor, is 1-1/2 pounds lighter, the forward grip is more comfortable and is sold at the Orange Big Box for less than a C-note. A little lower price and this would be a five star for the average craftsman or for the professional that doesn't use a reciprocating saw on a daily basis.
